FAQs
The FAQ list is being updated and expanded - please contact me if you have any questions in the meantime...Who can be hypnotised? Almost all people have the natural ability to enter a hypnotic trance. Exceptions are those that are drunk, or simply do not want to be hypnotised for whatever reason. Will I lose control? You will remain in full control of your body and mind throughout any hypnotic intervention. You cannot be made to do anything that you would not be comfortable doing in your normal daily life. Neither will you be revealing anything to the therapist that you would not be comfortable sharing with your therapist in a full waking state. How long will treatment take? The initial consultation will be approximately one and a quarter hours in duration. This is to allow a full history of the problem to be taken. Follow-up sessions will be approximately one hour long. The number of sessions required will vary from case to case. It can be as few as 2-3 sessions for the problems which are easiest to solve, however, 4-6 are typically required. More complex cases can take more.
